Conference 2010

A Great Wine Capitals annual conference and AGM is hosted by the different capitals, with this year's conference held in Christchurch from 31 October to 4 November.

The Conference, Wine Discovery New Zealand 2010, was a series of events that catered for a broad cross-section of participants from the local and international wine and wine tourism industries, media and the public.

The network's International Best of Wine Tourism Awards were also announced during the conference and Christchurch | South Island's finalist Yealands Estate won the Sustainable Wine Tourism Category.

The event highlighted Christchurch as the gateway to a diverse and dramatic range of wine tourism destinations, as we invited the rest of the world to come and discover a new wine and a new taste – in New Zealand.
